Investing In Women
Mill Road were commissioned to make the opening film for the Growth Investor Awards 2024’s theme on Investing in Women.
Just 1.8% of total equity investment went to female-powered businesses in 2024, down from 2.5% in 2023.
This film was screened to an audience of Fund Managers, Wealth Managers, Financial Advisers, Private Equity & Venture Capital Companies, Corporate Investors, Angel Syndicates, Investment Platforms and Entrepreneurs.
Early Education and Childcare (Documentary)
Mill Road were commissioned to make the launch film for the Early Education and Childcare Coalition - a 32 member organisation including Save The Children, Oxfam, Pregnant Then Screwed, The Federation of Small Businesses and many more. Interviewing some of the most important voices in the Early Years sector, including Professor Eva Lloyd OBE and Neil Leitch OBE, as well as practitioners, providers and families, this documentary aims to present the strong economic and human argument for total reform of this sector.
Birth in Lockdown
Winner of the People's Choice Award at the 2023 Charity Film Awards, Birth in Lockdown documents the experiences of women who gave birth during the Covid-19 Pandemic and the resulting impact on their lives and mental health.

This is for the 1400 construction workers who took their own lives between 2011 and 2015. Sir Robert McAlpine made a commitment to leading by example on inclusion and inspiring industry wide change by supporting the Flex Appeal campaign and funding ‘Flexonomics: The economic and fiscal logic of flexible working’, the first in-depth study of its kind.
